Field event to inform community and Jaliigirr partners on the conservation status, threats, historical data of Platypus. Register interest of participating citizen scientists.
– Collate historical data, liaise with JBA & NPWS to design sampling regime
-One sampling event across 60 locations in burnt and unburnt landscapes during platypus breeding season (Sept- Oct)
– Engage Jaliigirr partners and traditional custodians to participate in sampling events
– Coordination of sampling events and collation of sample material for distribution to laboratory for analysis.
